Handcrafted Colorado log home

Pagosa Springs · Archuleta County

When the river took the house, Colorado timber can put walls back up.

If the San Juan flood hit your log home, or took the house, call the mill in Bailey. We mill the walls. Flood discount for damaged and destroyed homes. We stand with this community.

This week

Pagosa is still in it. We are not waiting for a tidy news cycle.

The San Juan River in Pagosa Springs crested at 16.81 feet late on November 1. Downtown went under evacuation. Highways and bridges closed. As of November 3, Hermosa Street and San Juan Street were still ordered out. Schools missed days. Power and phones went down. That is the week we are in.

If you have a log home that took water, or a house that is gone, you do not need a brochure. You need someone who mills walls in Colorado and will talk about insurance, land, and what we can actually ship.

Call. We will listen first.

Two kinds of damage. One mill.

The logs took water

Sill logs, lower courses, rail, porch, a wall that wicked. Send photos. We will tell you what we can mill from Bailey and what a local crew should handle on site. We do not pretend every wet log is a full rebuild.

The house is gone

If you still have land in Archuleta County, we mill a kit around a plan. Walls leave Bailey ready to go up. Land, foundation, windows, mechanicals, and finish stay with you and your builder. Insurance often pays toward that package. We will help you write it so an adjuster can read it.

Flood discount

If the Pagosa flood hit your home, we will cut the mill package.

If this flood hit your home, we will cut the mill package and put the number in writing on your quote. Call and we will name it.

Show us the address, a photo, and whether you are repairing logs or starting over. The discount is for this flood, in this county, for people who actually lost walls.

What we can move fast on

We mill in Bailey. We do not take over your whole job unless you ask.

Walls from a Colorado mill show up faster than a custom stick house drawn from scratch. That is the honest speed. We are not a general contractor on the San Juan unless you hire us for that. Most people keep a local builder and we mill the logs.

Photos first

Text or email what the water did. We will say mill work, site work, or both.

Insurance, in English

A line-item mill package an adjuster can attach. We do not invent a claim. We do not promise what your policy pays.

Colorado timber

Hand selected. Milled in Bailey. Trucked to your land when the roads are open.

Straight answers

Do you rebuild the whole house?

We mill the log walls, and often the related timber: rails, posts, porches if you want them. Foundation, roofing trades, windows, mechanicals, and interior finish are usually your builder. If you want us on more of the job, say so. Do not assume turnkey from this page.

Will insurance cover this?

Often toward a mill package, if the policy covers the loss. That is between you and the carrier. We write a clean quote. We do not file the claim for you and we do not guess your coverage.

How fast is fast?

Faster than waiting on a custom stick package with no mill in the county. Not overnight. Roads into Pagosa are still a mess as of early November. We will give you a real mill date after we see the photos and the plan.

I do not have a log home. The house washed.

If you want a log home on that land, we mill one. Same flood discount if this flood took the house. If you want stick or modular, we are the wrong mill.
